  • Invitation to 2nd EBL Small Federation Trophy
  • Dear Friends,

It is for me a great pleasure to invite you to attend the second edition of the EBL Small Federations Trophy which will be held in Vilnius, Lithuania, from 28 to 30 September 2009.

After the success achieved by the first edition, Monaco 2007, due to the enthusiasm and dedication of my colleagues and friends Jean-Charles Allavena and Pim Vaders, this event has found its own space in the calendar of the EBL Championships.

I want to thank the Lithuanian Bridge Federation for the efforts done in organizing the Championship and I am sure that the organizers will be gratified by a massive attendance. Personally I will be proud to be in Vilnius and to meet the representatives of all the EBL Small Federations.

    Un abbraccio,
    Gianarrigo Rona

  • Small Federations Committee (SFC)
  • During the "4th NBO Officers Meeting" in 2007 in Rome, Jean-Charles Allavena from Monaco took the first step towards the SFC. The SFC was officially created by President Rona and the EBL Board after the General Assembly of Antalya in June 2007.

Small Federations were defined as NBO's from small countries (Cyprus, Faroe Islands, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco and San Marino) or NBO's with less than around 500 members.
